This is a bit late, as the walk actually took place last month.
As usual, the Gym Family will organise an outing whenever Pfeiffer went on holiday. To us, that will be our resting period too, so we will try to do something else. This time we went for Tree Top Walk in Macritchie Reservoir. After potluck breakfast, and pictures taking, and we started our journey.
Everyone was high and energetic when we just started at 9am, singing, chatting and walking at the same time. Every place with nice scenery, we will stop and take pictures. However, everyone started to keep quiet one by one, not because we were scare, but because we were very tired. We climbed so many slopes and walked do n many curves, and the walk had not completed yet. Most horrible thing was we must to be very careful when we saw monkeys along the way. A monkey actually snatched a packet of food from my friend, it really turned fierce when it saw that Jonathan never gave in. Fortunately, we had a very full breakfast before we started and there were not much left in the plastic bag.
Our dear Anita mentioned, 'Hmm... I wonder if these monkeys have diabetes or high calories? They have been eating food from human. Cakes, egg tarts, all the junk food.' Funny right, at this point in time, she can still think of that.
We were all so happy to reach the top, but only for a short while, because we still have to walk down again. At that time, it was like 11.30am, and the sun was shining on us mercilessly. By the time we reached the bottom, we cheered with our heart, and then we realised, it was 1 plus and we were in Upper Thomson already. Imagine what a long distance we have walked.
Nevertheless, we have successfully completed the walk, all safe and sound, but sweaty and tired. A great achievement, and I want to salute people who climb Mount Everest and other famous mountains and cliffs. Walk has been so tough, how about people in uneven roads and bad weather?
Clap clap clap~~~
