Disappointing Service

Last week, Mak bought us dinner in Lao Beijing in Tiong Bahru Plaza. I think the food was quite good, but I was very disappointed, and I have decided, I will not want to go back anymore, unless I have no choosing rights.

Mak's mother found a small piece of Styrofoam in her vegetable, and we asked the manager over. Mak showed her the small piece and she took it over. Mak is very fast enough to stop her from going into the kitchen. Obviously, she has wanted to turn and walked into the kitchen to dispose the piece. All of us at the table has seen and we confirmed it is a piece of Styrofoam, YET, the manager insisted it's a small rice. How can the rice goes back to a round shape, after we squeezed it? Rice should be flat!!! Mak was so angry that he said, maybe we should just pay and then bring the Styrofoam out to the laboratory for verification. Styrofoam leh!!!

I think that the manager did not admit the fault. She can even say,'Ok sir, I still think it's a rice. If you insist, it's Styrofoam, I accept. I will replace a new set of meal for you, plus a 20% discount for the meal.'

My goodness!!! It is so obvious that is not rice, she can still said if we insist!!! What is that 20% of discounts? It is not a lot and if we were to be nasty, we bring it to a laboratory, I think the whole restaurant will have to closed for a few days! They really think we are so hard up for the discounts!!! I am very disappointed with them on this issue. I mean, if you will to admit and apologies, we will just let go, because if it could be the staff in the kitchen who did not do a good job in washing the ingredients, but telling lies without blinking the eyes!!! This is way too much!
